The ABCs of Being Saved
God Loves You SO MUCH! John 3:16 says “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (HCSB)
Ya see, God sent Jesus to pay the price for our sins so we would not have to die for our sins. Jesus died on the cross – He paid the price! He was buried, and He rose from the dead.
Admit that you have sinned and repent by asking forgiveness. Everyone is a sinner. The only person that never sinned was Jesus himself. Sinning means that you have broken God’s rules. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23), “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”(Isaiah 53:6)
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He paid for your sins through his death on the cross, and rose again that you might have life.
Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and commit your life to him.
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”(Romans 10:9) “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe his His name.” (John 1:12) “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelations 3:20; Jesus calls us to repent and live a pure and holy life with His help. Repentance is defined as a “desire to amend.” In other words God gives us an opportunity to start anew and be transformed into the man or woman God desires us to be. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)
Living a new life as a Christian does not mean you will have a life without trials. We still live in a fallen, sinful world. However, we now have hope in Jesus Christ. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19).
God, I know that you are real. Thank you for being in the wind with me even before I ask. Thank you for your son, Jesus that died for me. Please, forgive me of my sins, I truly repent and turn to you. Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior, that we might ride together daily. I dedicate myself and my bike to serving you. Thank you God for saving! In Jesus Name. Amen
